The
Charleston School of Law Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit
organization that is comprised of a governing board of five directors:
Originally
from Miami, Florida, Diane Carr is a 1970 graduate of Furman
University. She was a member, president and regional director in
chapters of the Jaycee-ettes in Florence, Columbia and Charleston.
She and her husband Bob were the senior high directors at Shandon
Methodist Church in Columbia, and she previously worked as a re-election
staff member for U.S. Sen. Strom Thurmond. A Spanish teacher in
Florence, Richland and Charleston counties for 12 years, she is
now employed at East Cooper Baptist Church as an administrative
associate.
Polly
Spann Kosko, who is vice president for national programming
at SCETV, is responsible for national programming activities through
all phases from the development of the initial concept through the
promotion and broadcast of the program. This division of the Network
is responsible for securing underwriting from foundations and corporations
to support the production of both national and local programming.
She has served as ETV's executive in charge of several major productions.
Her efforts have made possible the production by ETV of over 80
other programs and series, including the popular children's series
The Dooley and Pals Show. A native of Charleston, S.C., Kosko
is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. A 30-year veteran
of the network, she has served in a senior fundraising and development
positions to include the Development Advisory Committee for the
Public Broadcasting Service. She is a lifetime member of the board
of directors of CINE and Director of the Charleston School of Law
Foundation. More.
Professor
Elizabeth McCullough, who has represented a variety of commercial
lenders in private practice, teaches commercial law at the Charleston
School of Law, where she also directs the schools externship program.
In recent years, McCullough served as co-lead counsel for the trustee
in the HomeGold Inc./Carolina Investors bankruptcies, the largest
bankruptcy in South Carolina history. She is a former law clerk
of U.S. Judge Robert F. Chapman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for
the Fourth Circuit. McCullough holds a law degree with honors and
a master's degree from the University of South Carolina. She received
her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia. More.
Zoe
Dutrow Sanders is from Columbia , S.C. and graduated from the
University of South Carolina. In 1992 she and her husband, Alex
Sanders, moved to Charleston. Her gifts and talents have borne fruit
in her successful book, Entertaining at the College of Charleston.
Through her assiduous and personal marketing the book has earned
scholarships for deserving students at the College. The Sanders
have a daughter, Zoe Sanders Nettles. She and her husband, Bill
Nettles, practice law in Columbia and are the parents of twin boys,
William, Jr. and Alex, born in 2003.
Liesl
Westbrook, a graduate of the College of Charleston, serves as
president of the board of directors of the Charleston School of
Law Foundation. Through the years, she has served as a director
of the local Red Cross board and as a past board member and president
of the Christ Our King Stella Maris School board, where she currently
is on the communications committee. Westbrook also currently serves
as a board member of East Cooper Community Outreach in Mount Pleasant.
A legal assistant for five years, she is married to Charleston attorney
Ed Westbrook. They have three children.
